One on Internet-bitching

Feel like sharing my thoughts on a small comment I got today. I won’t delete it, cause I don’t think it serves any point, and I rather share my thoughts on it.

  1. haaa writing music reviews of how to suck coldplays dick, to your friends “”fucking amazing”” Ive got one word to say to you OASIS;proper rock and roll in these times of shit music disgaised as colplay. and if i ever wanted to see a musical review about colplay or bono i would go to http://www.africaohhhafrica.com
  2. I never got the point of people bitching in the internet for things such as musical taste or within forums. I mean everybody has a different opinion, and that is what makes this world what it is. Do share your opinion, nothing against that. But what is the point of being so small-minded and offensive towards what others think?

Why don’t you rather find yourself an activity where you can release your anger in a healthier way instead of wasting your time complaining about things in the internet?

  1. Hey Pablito. I hope you don’t mind, but I’d like to post a response to the ever so eloquent and poised NG.

    NG –

First of all, while you are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to shove it down someone’s throat using an online medium in an abrasive, offensive manner, expecting no ramification or response. If you were as naive as to believe so, shame on you (and also, double shame on you for spelling Coldplay incorrectly).

Secondly, freedom of expression is one blade of a double-edged sword – the other end of which goes by the name of accountability. If you must Internet-bash, please do yourself the dignity of not appearing anonymous. Hiding behind a smoke screen does not make you any less guilty of unwelcome vulgarity.

Last but not least, contrary to popular belief, there ARE cordial, civil, nice ways of getting one’s opinion across, regardless of how different it may be. I strongly suggest that you experimentally apply this theory the next time you think of dissing someone.

    Cheers! ;)
