Some recent discoveries
Long time I haven’t dropped some lines over here. I will try to briefly summarize my week in some small bits that pretty much summarize what has been going on over here.
My Picasso Quest – I actually have seen this serigraphies previously, and I immediately fell in love with them. Now I am trying to decide wether or not to actually get one, or maybe 2 or 3 for the appartment. I am trully facinated by the simplicity of these figures, yet how perfectly portrayed they with the use of one simple line. Now I will need to come up with some good decision about this one, so if you have some input on which of these it should be, please drop a line above in the comments section.
Now, here I give you a copy of these beautiful sketches:
The Mouse
The Camel

The second topic is more about a recent musical discovery, namely The White Stripes. Don’t get me wrong, its is not like I did not know them, but now I actually can claim that I know what they play and that I have heard all of their records. They are simply fucking amazing! The proposal of simple rock, drums and guitar only is so appealing and works so well for these guys.
They have such simple songs to certain degree, not very complex – like Seven Nation Army (from Elephant), Fell in Love with a Girl (White Blood Cells), amongst others, that really catch you and make you tap your foot along with the rythm. On the other hands, they have certain songs in which the raw energy coming out of the drums and the guitar is so overwhelming that you kinda have to be in the mood for some high-pitch and rush-giving music. Nevertheless, even though this mix kinda sounds a bit extreme, it is so great because of the mix of blues riffs, punk chords, and some more alternative sounds. I must say it is being quite a great discovery to find such great a guitar player like Jack White, and I’m sure I can learn loads from his unique style.
Here I will leave you with two videos of these guys to enjoy:
The White Stripes – Ball and Biscuit
The White Stripes – The Hardest Button to Button
I think that for today “That’s it Folks!” – I feel I’ve done my ‘share of sharing’ and a more thorough update will follow soon. I will also try to post a bit more often from my phone, as I have realized many times I actually do feel like sharing something but just haven’t gotten around it.
Anyhow, I’ll leave you with some art behind to appreciate, and hope you get something good out of it!
Have a great week!
Peace & Out-

I never got the point of people bitching in the internet for things such as musical taste or within forums. I mean everybody has a different opinion, and that is what makes this world what it is. Do share your opinion, nothing against that. But what is the point of being so small-minded and offensive towards what others think?
Why don’t you rather find yourself an activity where you can release your anger in a healthier way instead of wasting your time complaining about things in the internet?
ng got owned…
